Our local MP, Laura Trott, has recently made two visits to Fawkham at the invitation of the Parish Council, when she was taken to a number of locations including St.Mary’s church, Churchdown Woods, Fawkham Primary, the village green, Small Grains, Sun Hill and Speedgate Hill. This gave her a good flavour of Fawkham and we discussed several key issues with her, including the volume and speed of traffic, road conditions, housing development and the importance of protecting the green belt. Laura Trott posted about her visits on her Facebook page where she said, “The countryside around Fawkham is very special and it is vital that we protect it from inappropriate development”.
